Biology-- plants question?

Petals are leaf-like structures arranged in a circle at the tip of a flower stem.

Is this true or false? I'm thinking it might be "sepals" instead of "petals" making it false, but I'm not sure. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks.

sepal is the female part in the center. stamen are the male parts around the sepal. petals are the only things that could be considered leaf-like so it should be petals.
